Greetings from Cathwel

I’d like to wish you all joy and peace during this meaningful season and Christmas holiday.
At the same time, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to you for helping Cathwel and me personally for the past year. It’s time for me to retire and I’m leaving Cathwel to the very capable hands of my successor Ting Yen Chi.  Yen Chi has been with Cathwel for three years already and she will be no doubt to do her best to take Cathwel to a better place. Please join me welcome Ting Yen Chi!
It’s been an absolute honor and pleasure to work at Cathwel and alongside of you all.  Once again, I thank you for your kind support and wish you all the best.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  Ting Yen Chi would like say hello to everyone.

Thanks to Sister Rosa’s invitation, I can join the wonderful family Cathwel. What I have learned here during the last two years is how hard it is to experience love as well as to be loved. I want to thank our children and families; you taught me how life is beautiful and miraculous. 
Jesus said, “He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and everyone that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit (John: 15:2)”. I don’t know what my Lord will take away in me; I do believe His love will lead us to enjoy our precious life in spite of the many losses in our life.

2016 Roots-Finding Trip

●Limited to 15 participants, with 5 stand-bys
●If less than 10 persons sign up, this year’s event will  be cancelled
Applicant Requirements
●Has to be an adoptee from Cathwel Service
●Between the age of 18-25
●Underage adoptee will be required legal guardian’s approval and signed agreement in order to participate

Event Details
●Trip will take place within July  or August 2016
●Event includes a cultural fieldtrip around Taiwan, volunteer work at Jonah House and reunion
●Cathwel Service will provide the accommodation and board. Participants are responsible for the airfare and personal expenses
●Airport transportation can be arranged
●Anyone who wishes to find his/her birth family, please specify in the application form
