GREETINGS FROM CATHWEL

According to Book of Wisdom：〝For great power always belonged to thee alone：and who shall resist the strength of thy arm？For the whole world before thee is as the least grain of the balance, and as a drop of the morning dew, that falleth down upon the earth：thou hast mercy upon all, because thou canst do all things, and overlookest the sins of men for the sake of repentance. For thou lovest all things that are, and hatest none of the things which thou hast made：for thou didst not appoint, or make any thing hating it. And how could any thing endure, if thou wouldst not？ or be preserved, if not called by thee. But thou sparest all：because they are thine , O Lord, who lovest souls. O how good and sweet is thy spirit, O Lord, in all things！ And therefore thou chastisest them that err, by little and little：and admonishes them and speakest to them, concerning the things wherein they offend：that leaving their wickedness, they may believe in thee, O Lord〞
Whether 2013 has been a joyful or painful, successful or failure, fulfilling or frustrating year for you, we were all blessed by the grace of Lord regardless. If you feel God has shut his eyes on the sinful ones, it’s only because God still believes in our capability of remorse.
We are soon to welcome the coming of 2014 whether we are ready or not. It means we have yet another new beginning, a chance to reform and do good. Let us include each other in our prayers, may the merciful Lord always keeps us close to his grace, so the world will come to be a better place for everyone with peace and harmony all around. Isn’t this what we all desire wholeheartedly？ So let’s pray together and contribute our efforts and God will surely answer our prayers.
2014 will be a special year for Cathwel Service as it is our 30th anniversary. It is also the10th year of Jonah House’s establishment. We will be hosting a series of celebrations and we sincerely welcome all of you to return and be a part of this meaningful and fun event！ It’s time to love, to pray, to be grateful and to celebrate！

Celebration for The 30th Foundation Anniversary of Cathwel Service

In celebration of the 30th foundation anniversary of Cathwel Service, a dinner party and a series of celebrations are going to be hosted in 2014 . Each adoptee or adopted family is welcome to join us. We look forward to seeing you.

Date：1~2 days between 15th-20th December, 2014
Place：Taipei, Taiwan
Program：a dinner party, exhibitions and forums 
(Final information would be notified by the end of September, 2014)

＊Any adoptee who needs a reunion with birth family arranged by Cathwel, please specify it in the sign up form.
＊Participants are responsible for any other trips except celebrations and reunions.
＊Free of charge for the celebrations.

Call for Entry  ~ 2014 Short Films of Adoption

Subject：adoptee’s experience of growing or identification
Submit by June 30, 2014

Any adoptee or adopted family is welcome to submit a short film which expresses how you think about adoption. Some short films are going to be selected for showing publicly at celebrations of the 30th foundation anniversary of Cathwel Service. Furthermore, the selected short films may be put into the documentary film of Cathwel Service.

＊The length of a short film is supposed to be within 15 minutes.
＊It is suggested to be subtitled.
＊Submit your film along with entry form (download on www.cs.org.tw) via Dropbox:lisachiu@cs.org.tw or mailing a DVD to Cathwel.
